SUVs get larger and people get dumber...what a perfect marriage. However, with the larger SUVs, you can fit sooo many babies, soccer balls and groceries!

As soon as sliding doors are standard on SUVs, the mini-van cycle will be complete and the time-rift will open to The Lost Starbucks of Escalade.

You can get electric outlets in any car, I have some in my Pontiac Sunfire.

You just have to buy a power inverter......I bought mine so that when I go camping in the summer time I can pull out a blender for mixed frozen drinks if it gets too hot and beer just won't cut it. I'm only rated to like 2000 watts though at peak.

I didn't permanently mount it though...I just modified it so I can clamp it to my car battery with some jumper cables.

Be careful not to drain your battery, start the car up and let it run fairly often...I usually just alternate having the car on and off every other hour or so....so I can point the headlights into the camp and play the radio...my car has great gas mileage....so letting it idle 2 hours or so doesn't use much at all.

Before you make fun of my camping with a blender...

Usually when camping I rough it, but there is a difference between camping to camp, or party camping. Totally different gear set-up...

For party camping I'd bring either my 3 bedroom tent or the 2 bedroom with a attached gazebo..maybe both, plus my folding couch and chair and a huge cooler or 2, air mattress whatever....I'd pull up and set my camp up 10 feet from my car.

But for real camping I'd bring a small tent fits 1-2 people...a sleeping bag, and some food/water...strap it all on a hiking backpack and leave the car behind...jump in a canoe, white water raft, or just hike away up a mountain....can't take all that shit then even if i wanted to.
