Once again, linux fails. Linux blows. I used Ubuntu 8.10
After reformatting my PS3 HD to get rid of linux, I found a cool media server for the PS3:

PS3 media server rocks. It's straight forward, simple to use and transcodes just about everything if you have a fairly fast PC.
I don't have much use for it but for those that use their PS3 as a media server, it's worth checking out over using Vista's Media Player as the server.
