We already know that the pilot for Game of Thones had been greenlit by HBO. Latest I have seen is that they have possibly cast Peter Dinklage as Tyrion.

Over at Westeros, the forum for ASOIAF, people have been screaming for Dinklage as soon as word got out about the pilot. There was some concern that he was going to be busy with the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe movies, but hopefully he'll see this as a much better career move. Playing Tyrion would be an actor's wet dream, especially for a subgroup usually confined to comedic roles.
