Go see it. It's some of the most amazing animation ever made. The visuals alone are reason enough to see it in theatres, but the story is also well done(as you'd expect from Neil Gaiman). It looks like CGI, but it is almost entirely stop-motion like the director's previous work- Nightmare Before Christmas.

It is refreshing to see a solid animated film that isn't CGI and very fun to watch in awe as you try to figure out how they filmed each scene.

10/10 for animation alone (it should win the Oscar)
8/10 as a whole

For parents: It has some very creepy scenes in it. I think if I were very young it would inspire some nightmares.

A blog I frequent got a Coraline Mystery Box from the crew. Apparently the crew created 50 Mystery boxes, each very unique (even the boxes themselves) and containing things from production, little cards/notes, embellishments. Then they sent them out to bloggers that they liked.

How fucking cool is that!?!

Just saw it tonight with my wife and son. It was everything we expected and more (we're huge fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas.)
