I think reviewers are actively messing with PS3 fanboys...

I'm getting a feeling that a lot of publications are actively giving Killzone2 reviews that are slightly lower than Gears 2 simply to bait PS3 fanboys.

This following link it particularly classic. Adam Sessler goes on an absolute rant. They were getting flames for being "M$ fanboys" and "Xbots" in their mailbag and X-Play gave killzone 2 a 5/5!

Amusing.

I can no longer be categorized as a fanboi, because I now own all three consoles, and have mainly been playing the PS3 for the past month and a half (miir can attest to this, he's online almost as much as me.) But I don't think this game is going to be the console selling smash hit game that it has been hyped up to be.

I liked the first game, but the complaints I had about it seem to not have really been addressed in the second;
1- The movement is too damn slow. I don't need a game to be jerky like Halo 3, but Killzone 1 was waaaaayyy to slow as far as how quick you could turn, etc.
2- PSN sucks. The online for games on the PS3 truly is terrible compared to the 360, which is what has stopped me from playing more Resistance 2 online.

That being said, I'm going to buy this game. I'm sure I will like it, but I don't think that it will ever come close to my opinion of Gears of War, which I consider to probably be my favorite console game/s of all time.

Dell has a 20% coupon on game consoles at the moment. Well, they did a couple days ago anyway but probably still do. I picked up an Xbox Arcade for $166 shipped. And yes I shall haxxorize it until it cries which is the only reason I got it. So MS still comes out ahead!

I've been trying to get the trophies for that game, and it's pretty tough! I am also beginning the process of making a series of levels based off of the Dark Tower books (starting with book 1 obviously). It's been a lot of fun so far.

On the PS3, I've also been playing a lot of Uncharted:COLON:Drake's Fortune . I actually only have like 3 trophies left on this one and I am determined to be the first person on my friends list with a platinum trophy! I've also become addicted to Mahjong, which I wouldn't have guessed.. Never played it before.

Miir, what games do you have for the PS3? I've seen you playing a good variety of games, but I can't recall seeing you playing anything I have Also, are you going to be getting Killzone?

Animalor - I'll be back on xbox more after I get through this initial push of PS3 games I got. I bought the Uncharted bundle PS3 which I actually thought was a good deal, especially if you compare it to the 360. 160GB, Uncharted (amazing game!), PAIN (very cool game), and 1 controller for 499.99.

There are a good handful of games coming out I'm going to be getting on the 360 shortly! Halo Wars, FEAR 2, Stoked, Star Ocean. So I'll be back on Live full force before long.

It must have totally been my amazing advice that pushed you over the edge and got you to buy this! I'm sure the Dell thing had nothing to do with it

Just got a PS3 for my birthday which is coming up in a couple days. It is great. It sits right next to the 360 and the WII. I played it a few minutes and I can already tell it will be used as much as the Xbox and the Wii will continue to sit there almost always unused.

I never got the whole 360 vs PS issue anyway. Why can't both systems be good?
