For the oppressed, peace is the absence of oppression, but for the oppressor, peace is the absence of resistance.

I'm not so sure about that. Studies have shown that no matter what the length of sleep deprivation, 8 hours of quality sleep gets people back up and running, physical body trauma not withstanding.Sabek wrote: My one caution to you would be don't expect to feel like a new man overnight. You will have sleep debt that you have built up over all the time you haven't been sleeping well. It will take some time to make that up.

Did you get hookers and beer?Spang wrote:I thought I was going to die of pneumonia, but I had bronchitis instead. They gave me an antibiotic that I took for five days and it worked. I really didn't get any cards or flowers, though. I'd rather have hookers and beer.Soreali wrote: you were sick?

When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

Re: Get enough sleep?
So I am feeling better on Friday and on Saturday I decide I feel well enough to take on the pool. With 60+ mph winds for a week, my knee surgery and then the flu and ultimately pnuemonia, my pool filters were disgusting, the pool was cloudy and I had 3 trash cans worth of leaves in the pool. I finished the leaves and filter and started the process of clearing the pool, which takes days.
I felt worse on Sunday, the cough which had slowed came back and today at my follow up I was put back on steroids and more cough medicine and antibiotics. I was told I could work a few hours a day in the field this week, so I am not back completely and I still feel worn out, can't sleep or eat, but I am hoping getting out of the house will help a bit.
I had this years ago, but I can't remember the recovery taking so long. Is it normal to take 4-6 weeks. The doctor said it may take me 2 months to get back to full strength. He told me no gym until I feel 100% again, and then wait 3 more days. Is there anything besides the meds I am taking and the claritan he said will clear my congestion a bit?
Any help is appreciated. I want to get back to work, my bonus really spurred me to have another big year and sitting at home is not helping my sales.
