Feral Cat
Hey Fair, could you post your build for your Feral Cat? I'm trying to sort through how I want to proceed as my Feral and I find that I need to choose Cat or Bear and I think I am going to go Cat.

Re: Feral Cat
Sure thing Bubba. This is just a heads up that I read this. I'll post my build tomorrow.
What levels are you talking about? Are you going 70 to 80?
Are you PvP or PvE?
I'm currently straight solo cat DPS atm, which works well enough in BGs and Instances too. I would change my current spec for pure PvP as well as pure PvE raiding, but I'm at a pretty comfortable spot atm for what I am currently doing, which is a little of everything.

Re: Feral Cat
I am level 80 right now. If you have a build for both pve and pvp that'd be great. Currenty I do more pve than pvp as the good stuff you need to have arena points to get. I don't see myself in the arena any time soon. Unless we get put in a Thunderdome kind of setting.

Re: Feral Cat
Pure Raiding Build: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZEMMsfrzbeo0huAo0Eczb
In this build, you are giving up Infected Wounds, ILotP, and increased stealth from Feral Instinct. You spec this way under the assumption that another feral will have ILotP, and other classes have superior versions of Infected Wounds. You simply don't need the added stealth from Feral Instinct in a raid situation.
PvE General Build: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxGMsfrdbeR0IuAo0E0z
That is currently what I run with. I can tank non-Heroics with ease, but you'll want the mitigation talents for Heroics and raiding. If you want me to post Bear specs, I can do that too. This build has a little of everything, making you self sufficient. The interesting thing about this build is the addition of Nurturing Instincts. This actually affects ILotP procs (self only), so it's nice to have in both cat and bear. Getting healed for more as a cat is just a bonus IMO. This is an extremely flexible build, with both burst heavy DPS talents as well as some of the bells and whistles that make playing a feral so much fun.
PvP Build: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxGMscrdbeohIuuo0Eczb
This build is actually quite different than the other two above. In arena PvP, you want to concentrate on Mangle spam since it has no positional requirement. Shreds are opportunity only, so against good players that isn't very often. Primal Tenacity is included because in the next patch, Blizzard is adding a 50% reduction in shifting costs to that talent wich will stack with Natural Shapeshifter. Plan on shifting and healing/CCing often in arenas.
All in all, the difference of swapping around just a few points has a dramatic effect on cat builds, depending on what you're doing.

Re: Feral Cat
Thanks Fair!
This is the build I had going in and I see that it is similar to your pvp build in respect to the Resto tree.
Oxbone Feral
I just put this together a few days back and tried in a Nax raid last night and I felt like I did my share of DPS. I haven't done pvp with him yet with this build.

Re: Feral Cat
My pleasure!
I few points here and there allows a player to personalize a feral build to fit thier particular playstyle. While the vast majoirty of ferals will have strikingly similar talent specs, the differences show how we perfer to play our characters differently from each other. I'm not a big fan of all the choices I have to make, but overall I have to admit that the current talent tree is a lot more diverse than it's ever been.
