Connery was pretty much a given, but Joaquin Phoenix's announcement is a shocker to me. I've always liked him.

He's just acting.

After Non-existent sales on his first 2 albums, Joaquin will feel reinvigorated and start acting again.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

Never say never.. just look at The Who, Kiss or The Eagles..

I'm disappointed we won't see Connery in any new movies. The Rock is still an awesome movie that I can watch anytime w/o being bored of it.

Well, he's contracted to do Hamlet in London this january (Branagh directing), so he's not quitting entirely.

err, my bad - that's Jude Law. I always get those two confused for some reason.
