Free MMO: AirRivals

Post by noel »

I just saw this today. Haven't had a chance to download/install, but might be worth checking out. Seems to be a flight-sim type MMOG where you're a pilot and fly around in squadrons etc. Looks Robotechish, and perhaps fun.

If I get a chance to try it, I'll comment more.

here's a youtube intro/training video for it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iulfAy5VKbc

The brief shot of a battle on the ground looked fun.

How actual game play will actually look:

Might be interesting but dogfights get so messy with that many people (as shown in the video)

This one on one and solo play looks a little better:

This shows the player upgrading or something for a brief time.

Any nominated subforum should be placed in Kwon's forum first to see how active it stays.

Played around with this for a bit last night and today and just finished uninstalling it.

This is a pretty awful game.
I really can't say anything positive to say about it.. except that it only took about 15 seconds to uninstall.

I gotta agree. I saw it initially on a gamespot 'Great Free MMO' list. Figured I'd post it here even though I hadn't had a time to play it yet.

After I did, it was just too one-dimensional to be of any value to anyone. Then again, you get what you pay for.

On the contrary, there's loads of good, free MMOs.

That wasn't meant to be a blanket statement about free MMOs. I was referring specifically to Air Rivals.

There are many free MMO games that can be fun for a month or so. Nothing wrong with that. I went apeshit over Rappelz for awhile and had a great time. Moved on after I got my daggers of doom to glow bright purple.
