Kids in the Hall

Post by Sylvus »

The Kids in the Hall are touring right now, and last Friday I had a chance to go to their show. I highly recommend it if they are coming to your town. My buddy Marc and I are huge fans, and his wife and my date had never really watched them, and everyone thought it was hilarious.

We actually got the best tickets I've ever had to anything, front row center. Many old characters were there, though all but one scene were entirely new. Gavin, the Cathys, Chicken Lady (which was the old scene), Head-Crusher. The Head-Crusher actually proposed to my friend's wife and gave her a rose before crushing her head, it was great. At one point Dave broke the fourth wall and mentioned something about being 30 lbs too heavy to do a Heccubus scene.

After the show, we got a brief chance to meet the Kids, and they were really cool. Here's a picture!

(I'm not really sure why Mark was pushing my head down. After, he was like "I'm sorry, did I hurt you?")

The chick next to Mark, was that the wife or your date? :)

Oh, and the "kids" sure look old these days, but then again, don't we all! :D

Wish comedy would run the reruns during the day instead of madTV!

I wish I was able to get away to see them when they were in Nashville or Atlanta a couple weeks ago. Sounds like it was a lot of fun.

re: Kwon - Yeah, I was thinking they look a lot older, too. Not Kevin or Scott so much as the others. This is probably because they both already looked older than the others during the series' original run, while the others still looked like teenagers.

Tru - You can get a box set with all the episodes and a bunch of extra stuff for around 100 bucks, or you can buy individual seasons for $20ish. Also, Netflix has 'em all available available. I've worked my way through watching 'em all again from Netflix. For each season, discs 1-3 are the episodes and the 4th disc is special features, interviews and commentary.

He's not your buddy, guy.

I am jealous as well. I wish I had known about this like 2 weeks ago.
