Your other weapon is the glaive, it is like a cross between a big ass shuriken and a boomerang. You start out just being able to toss it to a certain point and it will come back, but shortly after you gain the ability to throw it, and go into slow-mo and guide it around. I have to say it seriously kicks ass to guide the thing around a corner where someone is hiding and take their head right off.
As the game progresses, you gain the ability to do other things with it too. If there is something frozen, burning or electrical around you you can throw the glaive at it and it will then posses that attribute, effectively burning, freezing or shocking the shit out of anything you throw it at!
You also have other misc abilities too, like short term invisibility and a bubble shield that will reflect any projectiles coming at you. It seems that the game kind of tailors to you and what you use, the more you use the glaive the better you get with it (but the worse you get with guns), and vice versa.
The story is not the best, but it is decent enough to keep you interested in what is going on. Much like the two games I compared it to earlier, it has dark, detailed environments that really add to the immersion factor. There have been a few times that I have jumped when I am walking along by a building and something reaches through the window and grabs me.
The controls feel natural to me, and the only reason I had any issues with them is because I am currently playing like 14 different shooters and the controls are different for all of them.
The stages of the game vary in length, and at this point (beginning of 8th act) I would say I've put in about 6-8 hours or so. This is a little longer than other shooters recently, but not much

There are also two online multiplayer modes which both sound really cool, but I have not tried yet. There seems to be a decent number of people playing the multiplayer so I will probably give it a try and reply here about it.
Overall so far I would say it's a good solid 8/10, and is worth the purchase.
