The Darjeeling Limited

Post by Xyphir »

If you like Wes Anderson's style of directing/casting, then you'll probably like this movie. It was central to the three brothers who travel to India on what they believe to be a spiritual journey aboard a train. Bill Murray has a very small cameo as well, and the film comes full-circle at the end.

There were only a few laugh-out-loud moments, and many metaphors which were throughout. Overall, Life Aquatic was better. The scene in the beginning with Natalie Portman was almost worth the ticket price. WooWoo!

I'd rate it a 7/10.

Then I will be giving this movie a very wide berth.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

I really enjoyed this. Adrien Brody was a great addition to Wes Anderson's usual suspects.

I think it was only natural that he'd be cast in a Wes Anderson film seeing he has the biggest nose in Hollywood.

Seriously, I just watched this last night and began to wonder if Anderson has a nose fetish. Even the "love interest" in the film had a big nose....

Owen Wilson has a pretty distinct schnoz, as does Angelica Huston. You may be onto something.
