Hey guys,
A buddy of mine has a Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook and just told me that when he tries to run the laptop off its AC power the screen shuts off...When he unplugs it and runs it on battery power the screen comes back on...Any idea why? I checked the power management options but everything looks fine... Could it be a driver thing?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Wierd issue
Sounds like the AC power has a faulty internal battery.

Are you sure he's just plugging in the AC cable and not docking it? The only explanation I can think of is that it's trying to output to the monitor that isn't connected to the dock.

Re: Wierd issue
its not a dock, he's directly plugging in AC.
Would the faulty P/S battery still allow the laptop to charge? Because it'll charge fine, it just wont display when plugged in.

Re: Wierd issue
That doesn't make any sense and I think Sargeras was joking... He's going to have to call the manufacturer.
