Re: Shogun :(
Guess that is what happens when you underestimate your opponents and don't train heavily before a fight. I had an ever increasing ball of doubt in my stomach as I saw him starting to gas in the first round.

As it stands now i fully expect Fedor to be whipped to a little crying ball of russian pudding if they ever sign him up and have him fight Randy.
Other then Rampage all the other pride fighters have been huge dissapointments, maybe Nogueira a little less, although he almost got knocked out in his first match.

He gassed!
Also, there may be a lack of the substances not tested for in Pride.

Re: Shogun :(
Im thinking the same. Youd think a big organization like Pride wouldve tested for roids tho.

Re: Shogun :(
From what i've heard through my girlfriend ( who was born and raised in tokyo ) The organisation with the biggest yakuza involvement is K1, apparently fixed fights is a common occurence in that particular organisation.
Also i heard Valhall had ties to the Grobb mob, headed by some mysterious psychotic troll named Grakk apparently.

I hope Shogun will perform better in his next fight, or better yet, see Wanderlei destroy the whole lightheavyweight!
It's time to have Wand back in business imho
Re: Shogun :(
I'm very afraid that it may be the case Shogun and/or other Chute Box guys were using some form of performance enhancers. Hopefully he comes back strong in his next fight and it was a case of lack of training rather than laying off the juice once he started in UFC.
As much as I love Wanderlei and would really enjoy seeing him tear through a lot of the UFC LHW division I was really looking forward to Shogun finally getting a shot at the top since he never wanted to fight Wanderlei before in Pride. If it is Wanderlei making a run for the title though I think a Wanderlei/Rampage fight would be really epic considering how closely matched they were in their last fight and how much Rampage has improved in the last year.

Everyone in Pride was juiced to the max, that is a no brainer

I don't see anyone able to handle his style is the thing.Cracc wrote:Wich means we might very well see fedor loose majorly if he ever signs for the UFC.
The cage is a much different (and totally cheesy) enviornment to fight in, most of the Pride guys are at a loss when shoved up against it.
