That's a pretty awesome lineup to be honest. I've always wanted to see what Austin was like, maybe I should go on a little Bill Hicks pilgrimage and then see some awesome bands :?

I don't know how I missed this... This looks like a disgustingly awesome lineup.

Along similar lines, has anyone heard Wilco's new(ish) album - Sky Blue Sky? It's fucking fantastic...

Hip-hop superstar Common will replace Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela at the Austin City Limits music festival, according to C3 Presents principal Charles Attal.

Rodrigo y Gabriela announced Friday afternoon that they were canceling the remainder of their September tour dates, citing exhaustion.

C3 Presents, the producers of the ACL fest, have not yet determined a replacement for Rodrigo y Gabriela’s sold-out Antone’s show. Those with tickets are asked to call Frontgate Tickets at (888) 512-SHOW (7469) for refunds.

The news about the duo was posted on their Web site Friday afternoon and confirmed by their publicist.

The tour is scheduled to resume in October.

Fans might recall that this is the second time the duo was unable to fulfill an Austin date. Their much-hyped appearance at SXSW this year was canceled because of Rodrigo Sanchez’s visa problems.

The White Stripes have canceled their Saturday ACL headlining gig and Stubb’s show on Sunday.

ACL producer Charles Attal cited medical reasons for the cancellation. No word yet on who is filling either show.

Despite no White Stripes I had a lot of fun.

Anyone upset about missing Amy Winehouse is pretty stupid. She's not good live.

Anyone upset about the other band not making it is also stupid. I can't even remember their name, but they were replaced by Common, which was awesome since there was virtually zero hip-hop this year.

My personal favorites were (in no particular order) Arcade Fire, M.I.A., Bjork, Damien Rice, and Ghostland Observatory.

I liked Bob Dylan, but his voice is gone. :(

I didn't like Spoon this year. I also didn't like Regina Spektor, but I don't blame her I blame the dickhead behind me that kept singing along with her shit loudly in a hideous voice. Though I doubt I would have liked her in that atmosphere anyway.

It was organized well and I liked the camera work done for the big screens. Are those new editions? I cant remember.
