Certainly the volume of information we can get about events is much greater and the filters that are applied to it much less (on average), but really... someone from Faux News being surprised that they piss people off with the particular filter they choose to apply is a little farcical.

Apparently they're reporting directly on their email. Besides which, if you repeat something often enough idiots start to believe it, "You're an idiot", "I love your work", "fair and balanced", etc. So by refusing to listen to whatever passes for hate mail in their office, she gets a skewed perspective. But that's ok, it's a job requirement.
