Fox News strikes again.

Post by Hesten »

Just found this over at Slashdot, wort a look, show yet again how "professional" Fox News can be :)
Its a great piece on the hacker group anonymous being a threath to the general public, and use great footage like trucks being blown up to illustrate their point :)

Oh, and its up here too, http://www.myfoxla.com/myfox/pages/Cont ... Id=3894628 in case anyone should doubt the youtube source as credible :)

lulz. That's an awesome fearmongering piece.

Just another example of the term 'hacker' being watered down and applied to script kiddy criminals.

(It's also awesome how they basically give away the ending to Harry Potter by playing the recording. Just because you beep out part of it doesn't mean someone can't figure it out!)

Um, that's not Fox News. That's a local channel's story just like most others on similar subjects. It's just like how they have the messages for the hour or so before local news programs where they look more dramatic than Soup Opera stars trying to keep the viewer tuned in after the show they are watching.

Looking past the theatrical local news nonsense is a story worthy of coverage. They are criminals.

Just because it says Fox 11 doesnt mean its Fox news, but please continue trying to save us all from Fox news. I hope someday we all get our news stories from a single news source....that will be a glorious day for us all!

I have yet to find a news station that doesnt slant a news story one way or another, just because Fox news has differing oppinions from most of the VV crowd doesnt make all their news stories (the one posted is not theirs) unworthy.

lol, reminds me of the local NBC(?) affiliate here in Columbus. They ran this big fear peace on a "can't miss" expose on a "deadly risk" to children playing soccer (Nick, that's "football" to you). Turns out it was just this: If your child doesn't wear a helmet and decides to ram his/her head into hard things like the ground, they could get injured... possibly seriously!

OMG! Alert Congress!

P.S. Topic is quite misleading

No differing opinions exist at FOX. It's all Fair and Balanced. However it may not necessarily be true...
In February 2003, a Florida Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with an assertion by FOX News that there is no rule against distorting or falsifying the news in the United States.
...
During their appeal, FOX asserted that there are no written rules against distorting news in the media. They argued that, under the First Amendment, broadcasters have the right to lie or deliberately distort news reports on public airwaves. Fox attorneys did not dispute Akre’s claim that they pressured her to broadcast a false story, they simply maintained that it was their right to do so.

Sorry, I did not realize every story at Fox was fabricated. I was going off the assumption that the stories I see on Fox/CNN where true and was basing my oppinion on the difference in coverage between them.

I'd be more concerned about the prospect of a Murdoch-owned WSJ if they weren't already a beacon of conservative politics and neoliberal economics, editorially, at least. Their news reporting has always seemed reasonably unbiased, so I'm sure that will be changing for the worse. I feel sorry for the employees of the WSJ who now face the prospect of seeing their formerly prestigious publication turned into the non-thinking man's USA Today.

The WSJ will of course provide fair and balanced reportage regarding the DJI.
