Bridge to Tarabithia

The movie poster is a bit misleading:

While it has fantasy in it, it's more like the movie Gamerz in that the two main characters create a fantasy world to escape the real one which doesn't happed to be too pleasant for them.

Better than I expected. Sort of a surprise ending that gets a bit more serious.

If you go in knowing it's more real world than fantasy world, you'll enjoy the movie. Although it's a Disney, I imagine it might be pretty emotional for kids. I teared up at one point!

8/10

It was certainly not what I had expected by watching the previews. I went into the movie expecting a LoTR type film and got a pretty good life lesson film. In the end, I am glad that I took my daughter to see it and I would suggest it to anyone over 10.

You might want to fix the title of the thread.

I haven't seen the movie (and won't be), but it's adapted from an award winning children's (sort of) book. I remember an english teacher having us read it in the 5th grade.

Just random info in case any of you were interested.

Yeah, it seems like a good movie for kids...more in that it will leave a lasting impression for what happens to the characters than for the fantasy aspect of it.

Thx Truant. fixed.
