Stardust is one of Neil Gaiman's first novels. Think the man who wrote "Good Omens" with Terry Pratchett and "American Gods". That book is basically required reading for fantasy fans, as it's one of the best novels to hit the genre.
I for one will look forward to Stardust. I enjoyed reading it; it was a good standalone book that didn't force the reader to endure 12 books before coming to some sort of closure. It was just a nice, straightfoward fantasy.
