I don't usually pay attention to celebrity feuds but this read was entertaining. I like how Trump added "pockets" after "fat-ass". I know what he was really thinking!

Trump, Rosie feud gets nasty

NEW YORK - The Miss USA partying episode has led to a war of words between Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump.

O'Donnell, co-host of the ABC television morning talk show "The View," said on Wednesday's show that Trump's news conference with Tara Conner had annoyed her "on a multitude of levels."

"Left the first wife, had an affair, left the second wife, had an affair. Had kids both times, but he's the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America," O'Donnell said to roars of audience laughter. "Donald, sit and spin, my friend."

She continued: "He inherited a lot of money. wait a minute, and he's been bankrupt so many times where he didn't have to pay. ... I just think that this man is sort of like one of those, you know, snake oil salesmen in 'Little House on the Prairie.'"

"Rosie O'Donnell is disgusting, I mean both inside and out," Trump shot back on the syndicated entertainment show "The Insider." "Take a look at her, she's a slob. She talks like a truck driver. ... Her show failed when it was a talk show, she failed on that. The ratings went very, very low and very bad and she got essentially thrown off television. Her magazine was a total catastrophe, she got sued. ...

"I never went bankrupt, but she said I went bankrupt. So probably I'll sue her because it would be fun. I'd like to take some money out of her fat-ass pockets," he said.

Trump, owner of the Miss Universe Organization, which includes Miss USA and Miss Teen USA — said Tuesday at a news conference that he would allow Conner to keep her title if she settled down and entered alcohol rehab.

Conner tearfully admitted drinking as a minor at New York nightclubs. She turned 21 a day before the news conference.

On Wednesday, Mothers Against Drunk Driving said it was severing ties with Miss Teen USA Katie Blair because it was "disappointed" by news reports that she had been spotted partying with Conner in New York clubs.

"We do not feel, at this time, that Ms. Blair can be an effective spokesperson on underage drinking and will not ask her to represent MADD in future initiatives," MADD spokeswoman Heidi Castle said in a statement.

A message left for a representative of Blair, an 18-year-old from Billings, Mont., wasn't returned.

Miss Universe Organization spokeswoman Lark-Marie Anton said Blair's crown also was safe. Anton said the organization respected "MADD's decision as much as we respect their work. We look forward to working with them in the future."

I just finished watching a clip of both of them. I personally loved Trump on his retort back at her. Rosie does love to run her mouth off at anything. She gets all bent out of shape and goes on a rampage about someone making a gay joke, but then 1 week later can make fun of asians on a totally different level. Then plays it off like she didn't know any better.

When Trump goes after Rosie, she'll probably claim he's a homophobe for going after a lesbian.

I hope he wins if he does.

I don't like either of them, but I really don't know where you are going with that. Rosie is walking all over him in the press.

Trump really has no charisma, and he's a terrible speaker. Rosie O'Donell is about the last person he wants to get into a war of words with. I mean, he calls him a bad moral compass to be judging Miss USA and he goes back and calls her a fat lesbian. Wow, ZING!

And he has gone bankrupt at least twice. I mean he even wrote that in one of his books. Good luck with that slander case!

How Does Trump repeatedly file for Bankruptcy and still stay on top?

Donald Trump has become infamous for telling business mogul wannabes "You're fired!" every week on primetime television. Yet, after Trump's casino operations filed bankruptcy for the second time this past November, many have wondered if it isn't time for board members to give Trump a pink slip. Despite the company failings, Trump will remain as chairman and CEO and continue to collect a $2 million dollar paycheck. So…how does a CEO decide to file for bankruptcy twice and still come out at the top of the heap?

No Personal Involvement

First, Trump doesn't get personally involved. He knows how to protect his personal finances. For instance, both times it is Trump's corporations that have filed for bankruptcy, not Trump personally. Hence, when his casino fell into about a billion dollars in debt, the corporation filed for Chapter 11. Trump only made the decision to do so once he had spoken to his banks and bondholders. But, by filing, he gave his business the opportunity to regroup and reduce his business debt. It didn't hurt however that it would also reduce his personal debt, as Trump is likely the one every creditor would look to if the Taj Mahal couldn't pay up. So, in fact, Trump avoided potential lawsuits from credits and he may have also avoided personal bankruptcy by keeping his own bank account insulated.

Trump it appeared had triumphed. His company had dire financial problems but seemed to rise just as quickly from those bankruptcy ashes. Just three years later, he combined the hotels into the publicly held Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts.

For several years, the new company enjoyed double digit stock prices. His personal fortune in turn also skyrocketed. And, the man who came close to losing it all leapt onto Forbes' most wealthy list.

Yet, Trump's public company would eventually fall…again. Within a few years of soaring high prices, the company stock had fallen into single digits. The one-time powerhouse company remained profitless and struggled just to pay the interest on the $2 billion debt. Trump claimed that the properties were unable to make the improvements necessary for keeping up with its flashier competitors. These financial troubles led to Trump's second trip into bankruptcy.

Win-Win Business Deals

It's in this second bankruptcy that Trump demonstrated the other quality that helps him stay on top. He knows how to create a win-win situation. This past November Donald Trump filed for Chapter 11 a second time. Again, Trump asked to be able to restructure his company's debt and overhaul its aging casinos. Under the voluntary bankruptcy filing, Trump Atlantic City Associates, which is 99 percent owned by Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts Inc., listed $1.3 billion in debt and $1.5 million in assets.

But, this time around the Donald proposed that reorganizing the company would provide him the cash to upgrade his properties. By making these changes, he could help keep the casinos competitive. The second benefit: bondholders would receive stock in exchange for forgiving the debt owed. In other words, it would increase their ownership of the company by roughly two-thirds.

The chances of making the money back and even a bit of profit will dramatically increase when the casino emerges from the reorganization. Why? Well, vendors will be paid.

But, best of all, Trump get to keep his job (and his rather hefty salary). If all goes as planned, Trump's Atlantic City properties will be able to actually turn a profit and even potentially expand into new markets like Las Vegas.

At the end of the day, Donald Trump will not only come out on top, he may well come out in the green.

Yeah personal bankruptcy is a lot different than chapter 11 for a corporation, but it is his corp, and just because he has the money to protect himself from his own bad business deals doesn't mean it is slander when you say he has gone bankrupt.

There was a point in the 90s where he was selling off his personal effects (art, property) just to keep his penthouse.

I'm with kyou on this one. Trump is a smarmy fleabag. I'm not a big fan of Rosie either, but he's not going to win this fight.

I don't like either. In a flame war I'd take Trump in his prime it looks like he's a little past that in the video. Rosie's weak sauce though so he's doing fine anyway.

The fact that any beauty/Miss Universe/whatever contest is a total joke tends to weaken Rosie's flames as I think most people could care less even if Miss Universe was a crack whore so it's only fitting that someone with low morals make a judgment call on the situation.
