Tales of the past 2 (must download) Promise its worth it

Post by Nick »

Hey, over on the EU servers there was a giant movie made and released today called "Tales of the past 2" - done by a collection of us 20 year old wasters from across the continent.

It took 6 months, countless man hours and the teamwork of over 1000 players on the "Dunemaul" realm where we reside.

I do the voice of "Blazer" and a few other voices, as well as being involved in some of the writing of the plot and story.

The first tales of the past got to Warcraftmovies recommended and somewhere in the region of 90,000 downloads.

If you're a fan of this type of movie, I can absolutely guarantee you that this is by far and away the best warcraft movie you will have ever seen.

The guy who directed it "Maquan" has got to be one of the worlds best at creating wow movies, and at 520 megs and 41 minutes long, is a fantastic setup for the next version "tales of the past 3" which is aiming to be the pinnacle of Wow moviemaking.

I promise you, you won't be disappointed (although, due to being done by people from all around Europe, some of the guys who don't use English as a first language are painfully obvious.

Watch out for Blazers voice! This is really worth it guys.

Not likely dickhead.

The day you come off with a post that doesn't highlight quite how much of a joyless pretentious waste of life you are is the day your opinion may be of any relevance to anyone.

God help your husband, what a stupid fucking moron he must be.

Edit: omg stop stalking me i'm that self important.

Hooray for 2 bad links and a guy that can't even fucking hyperlink the downloads.

Well, at least I wasted less of my time than if I could have actually downloaded it.

Oh well, remind me not to try involving this board in anything vaguely interesting again. I'll make sure to stick to topics about sardines and how Teri hatcher looks ugly.

Geez.. So sensitive. There's only been two comments: One person didn't like it and another can't get the link to work. Hardly representative of the board at large.

From the 10 minutes or so that I could sit through, the production values seemed ok but the story is one just cliche after another.

Not terrible, but no something I would willingly waste 45 minutes watching.

yeah it's right up there with leroy jenkins, chuck norris jokes and farming half a million pieces of cloth to open content for what world of warcraft fans find entertaining.

Actually, the voice acting is surprisingly good.

And from what I saw, I doubt there's a trace of any Korn/numetal/angst/letthebodieshitthefloor shit that's in 95% of every shitty fucking WoW movie I have ever seen.

Cool Kwon, it's ok, we made the film as a gift for people, much like Kyoukan's posts except lacking the horrendous smell of shit they give off.

To Martin Falch,

I tried to send a message to you from the contact link on the front page of the "Tales of the Past" website. However, the function seems to be disabled since the error page keeps popping up when I press the send button. Sorry to bother you with this private message.

This is Kreis from Gamefirst which operate WOW in Taiwan for Blizzard. We will have an event with Coca Cola in the most crowded area on 7/9 in Taipei.

(A gaming convention)

Our staff have seen the "Tales of the Past" and we all feel it is amazing. We would like to ask you if it is OK for us to play the movie in that event? Besides, since most of people in Taiwan use traditional Chinese, would it be ok for us to change the captions into Chinese?

Again, Sorry to bother you, and we would be very pleased to get any message in reply from you.

/Salute for the movie again.

Best Regards,

Yours sincerely

Interesting overall, but I found some of the voices to be too monotone. Maybe it was the accent. /shrug.
"Or else... what?"

"Or else, We will be very, very angry with you, and we will write you a letter telling you how angry we are..."

Aye, think a fair few of the swedes didn't really put their full effort into it.
There is one or two voices which are pathetic.

Only like 3 of us from totp2 are in totp3 (not started yet) and a whole load of new American/English people auditioning for new parts. :P
