Blech (Whole post is Sopranos spoilers)

Post by Chidoro »

I know I'm not the only person who was disappointed w/ the Sopranos last episode this season but, holy shit, could something have come about that would actually qualify as a cliffhanger? It looks as if Frank Vincent is going to be made soft due to his heart attack and Tony's words, Meadow is off supporting the dentist, AJ has a broad in an actual relationship, Carmela has her "spec house" because it will keep her busy enough not to pry further into Adrienne's death, etc etc

I mean NY threathened a high up revenge that had Christopher's name all over it, Junior is floating in a home under custody, Pauly and his issues were never really resolved, Chris was sinking into drugs again but it didn't seem to destroy him, the potential terrorist contigent wasn't delved into. Yet, they spend too much time on a stupid France trip from Carmela, Melfi scenes that might as well not be in there any longer now that Tony's mother has been rotting for the last three seasons, and where the hell did the Russian go?

Blech, so many killer story lines that were never developed or even when they should have been killed, closed out.

I've enjoyed this season. I don't require some contrived cliffahnger to keep me interested. I'll be there next year when the final 8 episodes are released.

I'm kind of mad at the way they left it, but I think that was the setup for the end of the series. Season ends, everything is hunky-dory, to some extent. The 8 episode ending arc of the series will (hopefully) prove that Christmas dinner was just the calm before the storm.

I plan on watching the episode where they finally fillet that fat fuck, and then completely forgetting about this show again. Hopefully forever this time.
