Too long to link the whole story here, but I can't stop thinking about the movie Spies Like Us when reading the story. It's a pretty good interview which covers multiple platforms in various stages of testing currently. Some of the claims are pretty extraordinary when it comes to what they believe they will be able to do with the Airborne Laser early in the story. It is nice seeing how much advancement has taken place since the early stories I read growing up about the subject.
Are laser weapons ready for duty?

Very cool (and frightening in some ways) stuff though.

I think the testing part of Spies Like Us was my favorite...what was it...Radical Vertical Impact Test? I will have to throw the DVD in tonight to see what exactly it was called.Zaelath wrote:Both in my top 10 comediesXatrei wrote:Airborne lasers are more "Real Genius" than "Spies Like Us" hehe.
