I think this is the video card I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... etailSpecs
but I can't set my resolution higher than 1152 864. this is starting to piss me off. how do I fix this? it might be my monitor, i use an emachine, the one that you get when you order a computer package and pay the little extra for the monitor and printor, my parent's own a day care so we buy new computers randomly, and with all the extra monitors it was a freebee, but maybe its the monitor I dunno. whats the problem?

Problem:
Solution: go tell your mother to buy you a computer that isnt an e-machine
or, hell, i can even call her up and explain it if you want. up to you just let me know
Ha Ha Ha. but seriously.
1. hit [Windows Key]+R, type in "dxdiag", and press [enter] on your keyboard input device.
2. stuff your face with some cheesy snacks for a second while it loads
3. When its done, wipe the grease off of your chubby fingers and click on the "Display" tab at the top of the window
4. read the "Device" submenu. That will tell you:
A) The name of your video card
and/or
B) The name of your video driver
The problem is probably one of those two things
i use an emachine

Reso is almost never limited by video card or driver (unless you're using the default windows VGA driver).
If you can't select a higher resolution, chances are you're using a really shitty monitor and you have this box checked on the monitor tab under advanced display options...
