I want an LCD monitor with a high resolution but not more than 350 bucks. preferably about 19/20"s any suggestions? oh yeah preferably black in color

Samsung make good LCDs.
I have the 940b that Sarg posted and have no complaints.
If your video card doesn't have DVI out, you could save a few bucks opting for a Samsung 915n which has the same response time (8ms), contrast ratio (700:1) and native reso (12X10). I got my wife one of those and honestly can't really tell the difference between the two.... and yes, they are black.
If you're gonna be using it for gaming, don't look at any screens with higher than a 8ms response time.
