Ghost Multicasting

Post by Zaelath »

What's happened to this product?

From what I can see, recent versions of Ghost (9, 10) are completely useless pieces of garbage designed to backup a single computer and they've dropped all the useful features like multicasting.

Is this a decision based on the current rubbish windows licences, or are they just lazy?

Is there another option that actually understands NTFS5 and does support multicasting that I can buy or get under GPL or similar?

NB: the "understands NTFS5" bit removes options like G4L which is an admirable attempt, but suffers from not having any "smart sector" tech and just tring to run the whole drive through gzip. And also doesn't do multicasting..

Should I just "find" a copy of Ghost 7 and be done with it?

After a little more research it appears to have moved into Ghost Solution Suite which it doesn't appear I can buy here... lovely.
