Post by Marbus »

I guess in a couple of months people will finally be able to max the graphics on EQ2 and be ready for Vanguard :)

That is just obscene...
"Or else... what?"

"Or else, We will be very, very angry with you, and we will write you a letter telling you how angry we are..."

Would be a waste for EQ2, room mate's 4800+ CPU runs EQ2 on extreme settings with a 6600GT. Perhaps Vanguard will actually use GPUs though ;)

Batshit! A 6600 can not run EQ2 on ultra settings. Show proof!

What do you want, a shaky hand-held video of the computer across the room? :)

A 6600 alone no, a 6600 w/ a 4800+ CPU doing all the work, most definitely :P

Where is Adex when we need him? He has a 4400 CPU (which is almost as fast) and a freakin' 7800 GTX and slows down in Qeynos even on High setting... no where near max.

Wierd, I had that machine in places like Clefts (f'ing slideshow in there at times) w/ no lag at all.

Perhaps the rest of the setup would be interesting.. room mate has top of the line everything but the PCI-E card that he's still waiting on.

Oh and also, on my X800XT, EQ runs w/ 90+Mb of free video memory on extreme settings, at 1600x1200 (0 when playing CoD2)

I have two 7800gtx in tandem. 4400 amd dual thingy, and 2gb of ram

For EQII, framerate is strongly dependant on the zone. Outdoors and most zones I can run at 1600x1200 maxed settings just fine.

A few zones like the middle of Qeynos where there's a ton of buildings being rendored the frame rate drops down to 10fps or so. Just a little too slow for comfortable fighting.

On a raid and such I can keep the settings at max and It's doable.
