input selector switches

Post by Syenye »

i just bought this:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 4000347511

and it's incredibly amazing. best $100 i've spent since the last time i was in vegas.

except they sent me this one:
http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4063405

which according to best buy's search, they don't even sell... it's so much better though. gotta love that remote! also, you don't have to flip through ALL of the inputs to get to the one you want, which is my pet peeve about my tv.

Nice find Syenye.

Here are some other comments about the product:

AVS Comments

only three optical inputs and lack of bandidth for signals greater than 480p will keep me from buying it but it's not bad for 100.00. Higher bandwidth switches are dropping in price though.

I'm always interested in switchers and am still searching for the right one : )

Here's a good educational thread on switching if you read through it:

i'm not ready to drop $1k on a receiver just yet, so this works for now.

after having spent a little more time with it, i'm not quite as stoked. it doesn't do upconversion, which is incredibly annoying. right now i'm contemplating taking it back, but i figure i'll play with it a little more first. i'm just still super stoked about not having to get up off my comfy media chairs.
