What is interesting is that a couple of month ago I posted that I thought Miers' nomination was the most REAL thing our President has done in years... maybe it was the look on his face... or his body language but I saw that morning, for a brief moment, the GWB I voted for back in 2000... regretably she was not freak enough to withstand the attacks from the backers Rove sold George's soul too... and now we have a freak that will be on the bench... for a long... long... time.
Most regretably one that believes, unlike our Founding Fathers I might add, in MORE executive power.
It's a sad day for American... it's a sad day for Liberty...

Is that why they were willing to make George Washington the king or the ruler for life? Most regretably one that believes, unlike our Founding Fathers I might add, in MORE executive power.
Remember the main reason he was such a great president other than being the first is he detroyed the aspect of emperor in the USA when it was handed to him on a silver plater.
CRY HAVOC...........AND LET SLIP THE DOGS OF WAR!!!!!
Yes Sirton, you are correct, some of our founding fathers did want him to be king rather than President but he didn't take the job did he? And the majority, under his leadership worked to ensure that no branch would have too much power. The outcome was the important thing, however Washingtons actions and quest for power seem to be the exact opposite or Bush's... or at least that is how it has worked out.
