PGR-3 Real Life vs In Game Graphics (high bandwidth) pics

Post by Winnow »

I played the PGR 3 demo and was impressed with the graphics but it's hard to appreciate the work that went in to this game. The real life vs PGR graphic comparison is hella impressive.

Some great work.
Im not aloud to show any screenshots yet, but Im working on MLB 2k6 right now, and some of the stuff that we're able to do with the 360 and ps3 is pretty amazing. Real time 3d grass, complex lighting, high res models, etc. Fun Stuff =)

You better give us some exclusives later on as the game gets closer Sparty!

BTW, can you hack into the player models one night and make Barry Bond's head as big as it actually is in real life?

Actually, forget that request. Bonds is the only player that won't allow his likeness in computer games.

Videogames sure look realistic these days!

Imagine how the graphics have developed during the years!

I remember the old ZX-81! :)

It took me a few minutes of staring at the first picture set before I realized which one was real. Pretty impressive.

I remember, a few years back, reading an article about The Getaway for PS2, and they showed a real life photo in comparison to a game photo (much in the same way the above pics do). It was almost impossible for me to tell the difference back then, but when I look at the same picture now, it's amazing that I had ever been confused.

you should patch nba 2k6 to not look like a ps1 game without hdtv!

I bought pgr3 and have spent most of the time watching people race, since I totally suck at racing games this realistic, but it's stunning even on a crappy tv.
