I went last year when SCI headlined and it was by far the best concert/music festival I have ever been to, I also believe it won a bunch of awards in that category, this year Ben Harper is headlining with the Black Crowes. It will be in the Ft Lauderdale area again and tickets are selling out fast, anyone else planning on going?

I wish I could go, but there aren't any acts that really stand out from that list enough for me to want to fly 2,000 miles to be there. Ben Harper? Black Crowes? No thanks. I'd be going to see Keller Williams, Robert Randolph, Michael Franti, and Antibalas. Besides, High Sierra is calling me this year and I hear it's one of the best festivals for atmosphere and music. Also, I WILL make it to Telluride (CO) this year for the Blue Grass Festival and also to Rocky Grass up in Lyons, CO. My wife leaves Friday for Jam Cruise, and I'm very envious. :( Maybe next year.

your right though, it does seem more commercialized this year and the lineup was a lot better last year with SCI, MMW, Umphereys, spearhead and keller... and im not all that excited about black crowes or ben harper either, most of his songs sound the same to me, but the atmosphere is great and it is only a 3 hour drive from here

so tempting, but $100 to see the flaming lips and clap your hands say yeah is a bit much for me, i'll wait for ACL. nice that they're limiting the tickets to 15,000 though.
