Fuck you Geico
And any other insurance that thinks charging me $2000 a year to drive my SUNFIRE (omfg sports car) just because I'm 20, single and male is OK.
How is it that insurnace companies can get away with charging males three times as much as females on insurance?
I just bought a new bike, an 05 Ninja ZX-6R and the fact that I have a perfectly clean liscence, have had a motorcycle liscence for a year / 6500 miles accident free, and just one car accident (with a deer, no fault) doesn't help me any because my quote for annual coverage on the bike is $4,062.00. For that price I'm driving 150 fucking miles per hour wherever I go just so I wreck the bike and kill myself and cause a shitload of damage for them to pay for.
If I can't get a half way decent price on insurance then I'll be selling the bike if anybody is interested.
And I'm going to fucking stomp on the next Gecco I see.

When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. That bike plus the statistics for your age/sex make you a very large risk. If you didn't have comp/collision on it, you might notice that your liability coverage alone is rather inexpensive.
If you didn't already do it, get quotes from other companies. You might be suprised to see that most will be that expensive, close to it, or not write you at all. I never did agree with the differences between male/female when it came to rates, but the statistics supposedly don't lie. Also, all of those rates are approved through the state's Dept of Insurance.
And no, I do not work for Geico, but I am an agent

Yeah I'm *really* going to jump on it and go as fast as I can and kill myself. What I was trying to IMPLY is that for $4,000 a year, the ONLY way I'd get my money's worth would be to fuck 'em over THAT hard.
Do me a favor and don't reply to any more of my posts I don't like having to explain myself to people.

Do you even listen to yourself? I don't care in what language you say it, what the fuck you try to imply, if you still think that killing yourself is going to somehow fuck'em over, you really are an idiot. Go kill yourself already. They will bank your insurance payment and laugh all the way to the bank.Yeah I'm *really* going to jump on it and go as fast as I can and kill myself. There is absolutley no way in hell anyone is paying $4000 a year for bike insurance. My dad has full coverage on a $30,000 Harley that runs him about $300 a year. I know I had a Mustang when I was 19 and had it until I was 24 and never paid anything like you are talking about. Either you are getting raped, or you are misreading their price.
Insurance rates vary quite a bit from state to state with NJ at the top of the heap on average. Some states like PA don't differentiate between male and female nevermind that 3x amount which I can only assume you were trying to exaggerate. Some states use credit scores. Some use marital status. However, as a former actuary(although not in the auto insurance industry) I can tell you that rates charged are highly accurate in order to maintain solvent levels of reserve. Most states have a few companies that are non-profit. Maybe you should look for one of those companies if you think you are being treated unfairly.
I have posted here before about Geico, my dumbass stayed with them since they covered me overseas as a soldier, I was a member forever, and ONE accident then BOOM, my rates quadrupled, then they dropped me.
Not an accident involving speed, alcohol, etc, but my serpentine belt broke in a rainstorm, and I skidded out in a ditch, and the fuckers dropped me. I have superior coverage now at a lower rate with Grange. Geico is just a bullshit company, Fuck Geico indeed.

Harleys are generally a lot cheaper to insure than the bike he has. The reason is that they are generally involved in fewer claims and the riders more experienced. The bike he has is adding a lot more premium than he actually is.Kilmoll the Sexy wrote:There is absolutley no way in hell anyone is paying $4000 a year for bike insurance. Really though, have you tried getting quotes elsewhere to see if it is just Geico with this rate? I would be interested to know if it's because they really don't want to insure you or if it is accurate elsewhere.

Thanks chid, for that impecible advise. I'll have you know, that my record is on account of my own mistakes, when I was younger, and still on my daddy's check book. Now that I am on my own, doing my own thing, I drive like a freaking grandma.
Also, I drive a nice car, so thats another reason why my insurance is high. Oh also, my zipcode is one of those zipcodes where they randomly stack on another 100$ just for good measure.

so insurance rates are random and insurance companies miraculously understand your a changed man, cutoff dick or not

Scam or not it's needed because there are dumbasses out there without it. If they plow into me it's nice to know I'm covered.Fairweather Pure wrote:I think insurance is the greatest business scam initiated in American history. Whoever made it a requirement by law was a geinus.
Insurance directly effects the cost of so many things, it would make your head spin.
As far as Geico goes.. Yeah they suck. I've never gotten a quote from them that wasn't higher (by a lot) than what I was already paying.

Kindly shut the fuck up, merry christmas and happy new year...
I think my anger stems from that night, some 8 years ago, when some ass in a crotchrocket cut me off (drove between me and some other car, he looked like he was about to lose control, so I moved) and in order not to hit him I totalled my car. Next time I'll take the cops advice and hit the fucker! At least I got more money than I paid for the car which helped me get a brand new car with more features hehe.
When the world is mine, your death shall be quick and painless.
Yes there are idiots who drive bikes the way you are describing. However, if you had ever driven a bike you would know that there are way more idiots driving cars. Hell you see a way higher percentage of idiots in cars when you are driving a car yourself. Hence why I always ride with the thought in mind that every car is intentionally out to hit me. Only way to drive safelyvalryte wrote: I think my anger stems from that night, some 8 years ago, when some ass in a crotchrocket cut me off (drove between me and some other car, he looked like he was about to lose control, so I moved) and in order not to hit him I totalled my car. Idiots on the road should be shot no matter what they are driving.
First: An english lesson for Valryte:
Let me break down my response to you so you can understand it.
And for those who are wondering, some more quotes:
Progressive - $2200 / year full coverage
Allstate - $3400 / year full coverage
- $1700 / year liability + theft
- $748 / year liability only
Geico - $4500 / year full coverage
State Farm - Won't cover the bike
That's all I had time to call today during my lunchbreak. The Ninja ZX-6R is one of the most stolen bikes in the US (I live in New York btw) so that's probably not helping my cause much either. The bike's bluebook value is aout $7300 because it's used with 1200 miles on it. Horsepower is ~120, weight is ~375ish, a little over ~400 full of fluids I think. It's understandable that it would be expensive, I was expecting ~1200 full coverage. Not some bullshit figures like these.
I'm so depressed I think I'm going to try to swallow my helmet (JUST KIDDING VALRYTE LOLZ)
Tomorrow I'll try Nationwide, Predential (if they're still around) but those are the only insurance companies I know off the top of my head.
Who do you guys use? Are they good?
Let me break down my response to you so you can understand it.
Thanks Rellix, though, for trying to point out my obvious sarcasm to this person before I could respond. You understood my tone perfectly.Valryte's Lesson in English wrote: Yeah I'm *really* (The asterisks imply emphasis, say the entire sentence out loud with emphasis. Sounds dumb right? Sounds like something somebody might say sarcastically, right? Right!) going to jump on it and go as fast as I can and kill myself. (This is a tricky sentence, but between the emphasis on "ONLY" and the use of "I'd" instead of "I'm going to" shows that I don't actually intend to carry out my threats)
(notice, when the sarcasm is added to the word REALLY and you know the definition of hard words like "Imply" you can successfully break down this paragraph and realize that it was said only to get a point across, NOT to be taken as a suicide threat because of high insurance rates)

What's the list price on your car? Sure insurance companies make money, but I bet they make a lot more insuring Lexus cars for retirees than they make off the youth market; young people, men in particular, crash often and badly.Neziroth wrote:And any other insurance that thinks charging me $2000 a year to drive my SUNFIRE (omfg sports car) just because I'm 20, single and male is OK.
I'm curious, where do you get that figure?
