a good place to hunt for mammoths even if KoS is the scar containing DN.

some path into there, and you can always pop up invis and hunt one, pull it , re-camo and it will come to you. i used to solo velium hounds there no prob.

Took a full hardcore day to get my furs. I have much hate for the Mastodon.
