Here is the TV:

Samsung 30" 16:9 tube, HDTV tuner, HDMI input, etc...looks far better than most similar models. I had orignally wanted a 34", but the price margins are much slimmer for tubes than plasma/lcd/etc(I bought direct from a vendor via my brother).
The picture is FUCKING GREAT...looks like a plasma from the front, and it is very slim for a tube.
Damn, this TV looks GREAT! I cannot wait to get some surround sound going. I know that Best Buy has a Sony 5.1 for around $190, and it has great reviews for such a low cost system... I can get decent prices on lower end Harmon Kardon(sp), but I just want a decent sound system for my apt for a few years until I can buy a house.
I saved over $200 on the TV(retail $899-999, bought for $693), which is cool, but still want to keep overall cost down. any ideas?
