GTA on the PSP...

Post by masteen »

Is pretty fucking cool. It's the same city as GTA3, but with new missions. Some of the characters are new, but most are earlier versions of the folks we met (and killed) in Liberty City before.

The soundtrack kicks ass, and really takes me back a few years. It's not original, except for the chat station of course, but they did a nice job putting the radio stations together.

The controls are a little funky, because of the lack of dual triggers and dual analog sticks. I find myself switching between the analog and the d-pad for movement control depending on the type of mission I'm on. I like the d-pad for driving, and the analog for running and shooting, but unfortunately, you cannot set them individually, as whichever one you're not using for movement becomes the weapon toggle, the radio control, and other misc. functions.

Still, a great game. It's doing a great job keeping me occupied while I'm off the internet.
