I'm 1/3 of the way through Act 4 at the moment, Kwon. My guys are lvl. 66-71, and I'm still having little trouble with getting through.

I saved my game and paid forge to do a skill reassignment for Sunfire and Scarlet Witch until I found a working build. So far I have all the danger room missions complete up to Junior, and I've started working on senior.

I don't know if going through the game on hard the first time is really a good idea. Your characters will start out at level 1 and the enemies start out at level 50 on hard. Seems to me like that would just be an exercise in timesinking. I'd say start on normal, play through, unlock Deadpool, see if you can complete all the danger room missions, then go from there.

Regarding the combined powers danger room missions: They are MUCH easier at higher levels with AE/Ranged characters with maxed focus and some type of EP boost.
Apparently you cannot start the game fresh on hard according to Zamtuk! So Normal should be the first diff to try it heh.

I thought Normal was too easy but since you cant start on Hard the first time, Normal is what it is!

When you start a Hard Game Default without using Saved Chars, the chars start out on lvl 45.

Ok im nearly to act5. Having a blast. I still havent made a solid team but Im getting a better feel for the characters.

Wolverine is a fucking beast. A fucking beast! Give him fabulous (+dmg) gear, and his bloodlust rapes enemies on command. I dont bother with his extreme, takes too long! Let off about 5 or 6 bloodlusts, pop an energy can or two, continue raping.

Worked up Storm. She has great ae power, plus its handy to have electricity for the odd generator or two.

Thats where my good team ends.

I still have rogue on my team and I dont know why. She doesnt do the mass raping wolverine can. Wolverine also has his speed so nice that enemies cant hurt him much. Her heal is nice if you want to wait 5 hours. I guess might2 is alright. Its pretty funny to throw cars at people. Her torpedo attack is actually pretty good. Very funny when I rush a room and rogue flies by me, knocking the enemies silly and destroying half the room.

I have magneto, which also I dont know why. I guess I needed a bridge guy and iceman annoys me. Damn team gives me 3 fliers on my team. Go figure.

I guess next im gonna try out Gambit or Nightcrawler next. I like fast melee dudes. Hows Deadpool?

The nice thing about Nightcrawler is that one of his abilities is rescuing team members about to die (if abilities are same as Legends 1). You can work this ability up so that he has a 50% or higher chance of porting a team member away from death. His ability to teleport past energy fields and locked doors helps too. I see him as more of a specialist team member for specific assignments.

I just bought this game for PSP a few days ago. I'm going with: Wolverine, Magneto, Nightcrawler, and Gambit. Picked purely out of marvel characters I like the best.

Tried playing online, but there are no servers to join. Hopefully more people play this game online on the PSP in the future.

You playing on Normal right? :D

Deadpool rocks imho! With the right skillpoints, VERY deadly!

He and Nighcrawler are the only chars able to port.

Yeah he has it, but if you have a team with good supportheal or killing enemies with impunity you never need that! :D

Deadpool is a more deadly porting char imho!

Still, Crawler can add more to the group with supp abilities.

Pool is merely a damagedealing solo agent that can port, does not help the group at all beside DPS.

Rogue is superb if you need support imho! The only flying tank! Dont think so much of her dps, Wolvie fixes that, but Rogue can taunt enemies and entertain them so the others dont get hit. Use the Southern Shout for HP buff and torpedoe into battle!

Let her torpedoe in, get aggro and the others will finish them!

When you need AE stun she got Manic Slam and Tremor! :D

-

If you want a Tank that does MEGA dmg, use Juggsy!

Path of Destruction = 32000 dmg on normal mobs! Balanced Form to the max and he has SuperHaste on ALL attacks!

Try that attack which name escapes me but makes him grow for every hit!

-

Most powerful Tank imho = Juggys

Best utility Tank with groupfriendly abilities = Rogue

I used Magneto for a bit but then switched to Scarlet Witch. She did the heals if needed, Revitalize etc, Rogue did Southern Shout first.

Sunfire and Deadpool did the main damage.

When I went in the room at first, one statue had a red marker, but I didn't bust it down. When I went back later they all had blue life bars. I poked around on the internet a bit and heard it's a bug.

What you need to do is to get the game to reload the map again and clear it from memory. Loading different levels shold clear it. When you return to that map and the enemies are back you can try again.

What causes the bug is that when you reach that room, some dialog appears. The game targets a statue and lets you destroy it. However, if an enemy attacks you while the dialog is open, then it wont target a statue. Since theres an enemy in disguise nearby, theres a decent chance it will happen. What you need to do is to move very slowly when approaching the room. Make sure every single enemy in the area is dead before moving in.
