No holds barred discussion. Someone train you and steal your rare spawn? Let everyone know all about it! (Not for the faint of heart!)

Wilma coverage

Post by Trek »

I was watching the news this morning and all there was was Wilma on every channel. That is fine 'its whats going on'. I have to ask, why the fuck do the reporters have to stand out in the fucking hurricane? "Hey look at the sheet metal flying this way!!!" I was so sick of watching them get blown around in every fucking city they showed. What for? I know what 100mph winds look like. We see it every year, I just thought it was fucking crazy to have guys out doing that while they are telling the audience "how stubborn people are for not leaving their homes". Well of course I wouldnt leave either, how dangerous can it be with 18 news crews walking around your streets.

Is he the morning show weather man that recently lost a lot of weight? Maybe he wasn't familiar with what windspeed his "new" body could take and remain upright. :p

Some reporter got hit in the foot by a signpost while standing out there. She should get five purple hearts (one for each toe), free illegal drugs for life, and her choice of prime time news anchor jobs with the network of her choice for her heroics. What a trooper.

Yeah I'm getting pretty sick of the phrase "hunker down"...And how many times must we see a sign blowing around...I need an hourly update on one sign every storm...

they do it because of jim cantore. that is the guy from the weather channel that got pretty popular last year in ivan et al standing out on the shore. of course he was awesome where the rest of reporters in hurricanes are douchebags.
