Los Angeles Saints of New Orleans???

Post by Tyek »

The commish of the NFL Paul Tagliabeu(spelling?) is a smart guy. The Saints need a home and he wants a team in the number two market. Do you think the Saints could move to LA for one season, this would give them a home base, and more importantly whet the appetite of LA football fans. We have had no team for over 10 years and the idea fans could go see a game might spur the stadium issue in town. Just a thought.

I feel horrible for the fans there and if they rebuild then I would want them to have their team back, but I think LA, hell any city in the NFL would host the Saints for a year.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

One of the writers on espn.com was saying this exact thing.

Did not see that, but it makes a lot of sense to do.

No one in that region is going to have money to attend games, if they do have some income it would go to rebuilding their lives, not seeing a game. It is a business and needs to generate income and it would be easier if they had a home base of operation rather then run around the country playing different locations.

I am a saints fan, and live in louisiana. I don't think the Saints are going to comeback to NO. Tom Benson(owner of the saints) has all of his business's and family ranch in San Antinio. The Alamodome is a much newer stadium vs the Superdome, which Benson has been lobbying city of N.O. for a new stadium for awhile now. I don't see him moving the team back if they play a full year at the Alamodome.
