No idea, but I can tell you this. If I lived down there and saw someone shooting at helicopters trying to rescue people, I would do everything in my power to kill them.

People like that have no business being in the US, much less being alive.

The level of animal savagery that has arisen in New Orleans as a result of this storm and the conditions it has brought is almost unbelievable. If I didn't know better I'd think it was all some bad made for television movie.

Again guys, the media only reports one side of things.

For days the stranded folk watched as helicopter after helicopter passed them by. They put up signs. They did anything they could to get attention. Some of them thought that firing a weapon might be loud enough to get someone's attention passing by. It was a call saying NOTICE ME. Joe Blo chopper pilot takes it to mean the people are attacking him.

You guys should see the rumors floating around here. There is still a type of background radiation racism in LA. Any confusing act tends to be interpreted negatively.

The press, hell they want drama, they want ratings and they'll pump up stories and amplify negative things to the point where it departs from the truth.

My point is, take everything you hear in the media with a large grain of salt. Picture the press as that gossipy aunt that most of us have who takes a story and pumps it up and out of proportion.

They were originally reporting that the choppers were dropping flares near survivors for the boats to pick them up rather than just passing people by.
