I guess labor is getting too expensive in Mexico so we need to open a cheap labor source in these countries. This will give companies even more incentive to "off-shore" to these countries because they won't have to pay tariffs and can still get away with paying $.50 an hour. I am not a big USA labor supporter. I believe the unions have gone a long way to forcing American companies to look for the cheaper alternatives in these countries. I don't believe we should make it easy to ship jobs out fo the US though. American companies need to be given some kind of an incentive not to move jobs but unions need to stop raping these companies too.

Apparently my reading comprehension has been decimated by the sheer volume of idiots i've had to deal with today at work, can someone explain what exactly this CAFTA is trying to do? I've gathered so far its trying to give a tariff break to 6 latin american countries to help facilitate trade.

The biggest problem with the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) is that it doesn't actually have too much free trade in it. Of course, that was also a problem with NAFTA but not to the same degree as CAFTA from what I have been reading. Its probably better than nothing, but they could have done a lot better.

Sorry, but what businessman opens a casino for mormons? Is it a franchise of Ali's Rib Shack in Tel Aviv?
