...at least in the schools. The National Academy apparently isn't a fan of the direction of the education in US schools under Christian Agenda.

Personally I'm against teaching creationism in schools there is no data to back it up. While the theory of evolution isn't perfect it's the best we've got. However in depth study of evolution has holes and inconstencies, those to me are filled by God. However that is what I will teach my kids at home when we discuss whats wrong with the theory. At school they just need to learn it. You can't evaluate something you don't understand and personally I don't want anyone I don't know very well teaching my kids about religion, that's my job... keep it out of the schools.

Intelligent Design is a cute idea, but to even call it a "theory" is a disservice to real science.
