I think civ2 was way better than civ3. The thing I dislike most about civ3 is the resources. THings like horses are fine because they can't be used up and are visible at the beginning of the game. Resources like iron are never in your territory and they get used up and your fucked. It is also really fucking annoying to have a computer civ park a settler 4 spots from one of your cities.

Civ3's AI was sad, but overall I loved it. I'd love another Alpha Centauri game. PLEASE!
Can't wait for Civ4... they "claim" they're putting a whole lot more emphasis on enemy AI.
edit. Wow. just looked at the screenshots.. some of them look terrible. I hope they make the land less boxy. Even Civ3 didn't look that square. And the world map... yikes..
