Dont think chemicals are a WMD? To me radioactive radation is almost the same thing as having my insides decay in to a pool of blood from mustard gas and other nasty shit, and drown in it while tring to breath. Ive seen movies of this shit after a attack in training.Ive been trained for this stuff,and how to advoid it in the woods,front lines. What a wonderful thing of being part of the Army Infantry. At least Im at home now and hope my good friends wont have this stuff used on them,and pray Bush is totally wrong that Saddem hasnt disarmed.

I'm sorry, where did I say mustard gas was ok? I think the shits just plain wrong, as is any chemical weapon, but then I think that about most any weapon. Mustard gas, explosive, bullets... it's all killing people. Do you even know what WMD stands for? Weapon of Mass Destruction. Not Weapons of Slow Death, not Weapon of a Chemical Base. Now I don't know what they teach you in the army, but I've been taught that mass destruction is just that, mass destruction. Who knows, maybe I'm wrong!

Couple points.
First I think Mort was talkin about an nuke outta Israel not from a US sub (which WOULD be where a US nuke would come from in this instance).
Second, does anyone here know a thing about depleted uranium rounds and the apparent long term effects of them. go here to learn more http://www.tv.cbc.ca/national/pgminfo/du/
and if you are going to tell me THAT is not a WMD then you need to open your blinders alil.
Third, and this one is REAL important. The media LIES to your faces and expects you to beleive it. I am not even going to get into what our government does, but people, these things they spew at you nonstop on CNN are done to sell themselves, they are not objective. key words are used to slip thru into your subconsciuos, I have heard them say "the liberation of Iraq has begun". We are conquering Iraq, not liberating it, we liberated Kuwait, cause someone took it over, this is an invasion, not a liberation, and YES that is a huge deal, and YES they use those words on purpose. Don't be a dupe for CNN or your left or right parties, listen to what all sides say, there is bits of truth mixed in with the hundreds of lies.

The part that set me over, was the part about the news media. Just sounded way to much like Kyou. I'm in love with Richard Simmons so it gave me a reason to post it. Sorry if you took offense to it. I'll debate you on the accuracy of the media and it's reporting anyday, it's a fact, they lie, they get caught and don't look back. It's their job to keep you glued to your TV screen and the fact that we have a 15 minute attention span is the only reason they get away with it. Just cause they say it, don't mean it's true.

I really don't think depleted uranium can be termed a WMD (although WMD is kind a wierd classification in the first place). DU is used because of its high density, which is very useful for penetrating armor. From what I have read, its not considered a serious radiological hazard. Toxicity is more of a concern, but the dose likely to be encountered from spent DU muntions is thought to be too small to be significant. A couple good references (I posted these in the other thread about DU we had a bit ago if you already looked at them).
