Texas Bans Gay Foster Parents

Post by Zaelath »

CHICAGO (AFP) - The Texas House of Representatives passed a bill banning homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals from being foster parents.

If the bill gains approval from the Texas Senate, the state will be allowed to investigate the backgrounds of current foster parents and remove children living in non-heterosexual households.

And, John Stewart does what he does best...

yeah Stewart so totally nailed it.

cause foster children should be with their heterosexual biological parents who abuse them and don't care for them properly!!!

I feel bad for the kids already in foster homes who will be pulled out just because of the foster parent's sexual orientation.

Lame. Those foster kids were dressed well I bet.

There is no perfect family. We should be happy with any couple that wants to care for foster children. There is no evidence that children raised by a gay couple turn out to be gay adults. On the other hand, I bet those kids turn out not to be bigots.

Good! Too many Texans have parents nowadays. There aren't enough orphans in that state.

It is vitally important that American children be kept away from parents that actually want them. I'm not totally sure why, but if the government thinks so, then there must be a good reason.

Well, look on the bright side, civil rights are going way down in the US already, this is just following a trend instead of standing with that outdated freedom stuff :)

I can't quite put my finger on the how and why, but I sense that this legal move, the cold fusion using pyroelectric crystals, and the exploding toads in Germany are all tied together in the machinations of some diabolical criminal mastermind?
