this quake is 8.5 (preliminarily).
remember the Rictor scale is logarithmic, so a "9" is 10 times as powerful as an "8".
there is no way to verify if a tsunami was generated because they don't have sea level monitoring there. A guy from the US Geological Survey was just interviewed who said it would be prudent to assume that a tsunami was generated by this event, but it cannot be certain yet.

Considering that the tsunami was caused in large part by the massive submerged landslide caused by the first quake, I would be surprised if another one happens. Hopefully all that was going to slide has already slid.
