Beck

I've been listening to this little EP of remixed songs from his new album. The last two songs are done almost entirely with old 8-bit Nintendo sounds. It's awesome!

Any good? Absolutely loved his early stuff and the cd Sea Change. He's definately got a unique style in that he can conjure up any music he wishes.

I saw a video they're running on VH-1 from this new album.

His head is like bluescreened into ancient like pre atari graphic video game/surreal landscapes.

The song was great too, but I'm probably biased because I love the shit out of Beck.

Maybe it's just me but I could never see the infatuation with Beck. His music is definately not something I am interested in. I tried. I listened to the Odelay CD a lot since a friend had it but it just never floated my boat.

I thought Odelay was OK, it's his stuff after "Loser" that really got me into him. He's progressed into more electronica, and the remixes really push that envelope while being retro at the same time.

Sea Change is very different than Odelay, and much better IMO.
