Jist is that winning and being more profitable this season has increased the likelihood they'll be able to resign Joe Johnson and extend Amare Stoudemire's contract.[/spoiler]

Good news for the Suns fans...
War pickles men in a brine of disgust and dread.
I think they can do it. They will give Stoudemire whatever it takes (a bundle) and then hope Joe Johnson will want to stay with the Suns for something in the neighborhood what Q-Rich is getting...about 60 million.
From watching every game, I get the feeling the team likes each other and can see players giving the organization every opportunity to try to get deals done.
As we've seen with Walter McCarty and Jim Jackson, players want to be in Phoenix right now which bodes well. I've heard that Walter McCarty was even willing to waive his contract for next year just to be able to play for the Suns along with Boston possibly paying McCarty's salary this year...Boston would get a 2nd round pick and be free of McCarty's contract for next year and Phoenix would get yet another three point shooter and presence inside.
Personally, I'm not sold on McCarty. I think we're fine on three's and although he runs the floor well for a big man, I don't know if he'd help much inside.
Things are looking great for the Suns's future right now. While I'm liking the outlook for the Suns over the next three years, I'm trying to enjoy this year for what it is.
