Check out the 25 foot boulder that landed on a street. The area I live in is reported to ave had 20+ inches in the last 5 days. Our normal rainfall for the whole year is like 14". One more night and day of major rain then they say we will be drying out.

When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

Man, that looks like it's straight out of a Wile E. Coyote & Roadrunner cartoon.

I live in Ventura Just about 5 miles south of that are for about 5 years. That kind of thing is VERY common right there in the hill. If you were to look at an aireal photo , you could see just how steep that cliff is, and how small the area they built is also. Every year the hill keeps sliding , just seems worse when you get heavy long period saturation rains.
I feel for the families that have losses , but that is expected there every year.

Too bad you guys can't bottle it all up and solve your water crisis. Do you guys have any sort of reservoirs in southern California? I think I heard a lot of the western states were complaining because of all teh water that is used there.
