So I took advantage of the "station bundle" deal when I installed EQ2 and I figured I may as well slap EQ classic back on my PC. My question is: I'm registered for all expansions through GoD. What exactly do I need to install EQ and have all my expansions? Do I need to start with my Everquest disk from 1999 and work forward from there? Can I patch all this shit down? Or would it be simpler to buy some new collection like "Platinum"?

They changed it a while ago so you could download the entire game through the patcher if you wanted to.
When this was first done, I tested it out by putting everquest.exe into an empty folder and let it run. It took about 4 hours with my 3mb/sec connection (this was two expansions ago, it may be closer to 5 hours now)

That's true - you don't even need the latest patcher - any will do.

If this is so, I really don't care how long it takes, I will just let it run unattended.
I was able to download everquest.exe from SOE's tech support forums so I'll give that a go tonight.
Thanks for all the tips guys, you all roxor
edit: that did it...everquest.exe first patched the patcher (complete with Omens of War skin ) then commenced pulling down game files. Finished all dl activity 50 minutes after I started
