Friday Night Lights

Caught the matinee of this yesterday with my wife. It was an ok flick. My wife liked it. I am a football coach and found some of the stuff pretty unbelievable. A lot of the big hits they were making would have been illegal as hell in my league. I am glad to say that Wisconsin is not as ravenous in High school sports as Texas.

I give this movie 7 out 10 stars.

High School Football in the south is a religion its scarey sometimes. I saw some hits in high school ball while I was playing that were pretty unbelivable.

The high school ballplayers I see in the Houston area would kick the stuffing out of my state championship team from the early 80s. I saw a kid in the mall wearing a local school varsity jacket, class of 2006, who went easily 6'6", 350 and was not fat, was ripped to the bone. These kids are either genetic freaks or already juicing it up, big time.
